
In these trying economic times, everybody’s budget seems to be stretched to the max. More and more people are considering taking on a second job to help make ends meet. You don’t have to be a college student to find a great part time job in the retail industry. Plenty of retail stores are more than willing to consider moms, retirees or people looking for that second job. Here are five steps to help you on your way:
Step 1: Preparation
Develop a plan for your goals. What hours can you reasonably work, without adding extra stress to your life? What will happen to children during these hours? How far are you willing to travel to your job? Do you have reliable transportation? These issues should be the first addressed in the planning process. But never fear, they’re easier to check off your list then you think.
Step 2: Update Your Resume
Updating that resume and dusting it off will be the next step. If you don't have any experience and or a current resume, write out some of the skills you have. This can be as simple as all the things that you do from day-to-day on your computer that you learned on your own.
Step 3: Professional Dress
